Samsung X100 Review

After the launch of Samsung C100, Samsung comes with another model almost same in features as of in C100. Though it does not support infrared (IrDA) compared to C100 but I think its the best phone in its category. The company has targeted mainly the youths and also suits the adults. Its rival model is Sony Ericsson’s T230 which is also ranged in between 6-7k.

The Samsung X100 comes in the same old traditional colour of Samsung phones i.e. Silver edging with blue cover. The plus point of buying Samsung phones is it comes in 65k colours whereas most of the Nokia colour phones have 4096 colour display. X100 supports GPRS and MMS.

Phonebook can store upto 1000 phone numbers in the phone memory and 5 numbers and an e-mail for each contact. You can also assign a picture for a specific contact. However, you can add pictures which are pre-installed in the phone memory and cannot add pictures from the MMS messages.

Messages are separated from in two sub-categories SMS and MMS. Its SMS storing capacity is upto 200 messages and each MMS message size could not exceed more than 80 kb. In the Indian version people can also SMS in Hindi.

Call Register can save upto 20 missed, 20 received and 20 dialled.

Memory is the plus point of this mid-ranged phone. It has a memory of 9mb which is more than enough and another 600 kb for Java based applications.

Games are included in the Java World menu like Snow Ball Fight and BubbleSmile which can be deleted from the memory. But if you buy from grey market you can get more three games which cant be deleted from the memory.
